ABOUT ME

Darpan Triboan is currently a part-time Lecturer in Computer Science/Security and a Research Fellow at De Montfort University (DMU).

​

He is also a fixed-term part-time Lecturer at Goldsmiths, University of London, and HPL at QA Higher Education (QAHE).  

​

His key areas of research within Artificial Intelligence (AI) is Knowledge Representation and Reasoning within Ambient Assisted Living Systems using real-time multimodal Smart home/ IoT devices and diverse wireless sensor networks (WSNs).

​

His current research is employing AI approaches for developing a Coupled Climate Modelling to support low-cost housing development in flood-prone areas.

Academic Achievements

  • Assistive system architecture was developed at CIIRG, DMU during MSc project and PhD research project with real-time sensing environment used personally and by other researchers.

  • A final year project, location-based restaurants finder and catering booking mobile application. An Android application was developed in conjunction with RESTfull web services and Google APIs.
